Making the Internet work for You

Damn, when you know how to use the internet she sure can be a beauty.

I'm only just learning to use the internet now, but eish! it sure is fun and exciting. Like today I just added Google Adsense to my Blog. Yes I know its a very capitalist thing to do, but hey I leech off so many free sites its not funny, so I figured that I better give back in some way - not to mention make a bit of a profit in the process.

Basically, it works by Google searching my site and picking out keywords from which it filters "related" ads in the demarcated area. And the best part is that everytime you click on an ad on my site - I get a little thanks from Google (Financial Reimbursement).

Better Waves of Change

Although I've been on the new blogger for awhile already (since it was in beta), I've only really started to explore and play with the new features recently.

So what do you think of the new features I've added? Alright, I agree most of it is rather standard and doesnt really differentiate my Blog from others, but atleast its not as monotonous as it was before. There are plenty of interesting and funny links you guys can check out (refer to "What I Browse..." on the right panel) aswell as read some of the latest news from around the world thanks to my "The Relavent News".

I feel that I should also draw your attention to some of my sponsored links. Anybody who watches movies on their PC or DVD player will know that you need something called codecs (alternate link) which allows your media player to show certain types of video formats.

And arguably the best or atleast most comprehensive codec providor is DivX who exclusively provide codecs for .avi files which is the format of choice when it comes to high quality video.

Now if I may direct your attention to the right panel again, just below my profile - presto! my "Get DivX" link, feel free to use it.

These are but a few of the new features I've added, feel free to browse the right-hand panel yourself to discover them for yourself.

If some of my images don't display just hold on for awhile, i'm currently in the process of re-organising my Image folders on the Photobucket server I use. Give me a few days and everything will be back to normal, then I will be able to start posting again.

I'm a Busy Person

This is in response to a comment made on my previous post. The person (I wont mention who) congratulated me on making two successful posts in a small space of time - I appreciate the comment. But he/she then slyly added that he/she was amazed that I don't add more given all my free time.

Well first of all I don't have a lot of free time, I'm actually very busy these days - tutoring, admin, marking and some freelance projects - it's not like I'm a med student and just sit around on my backside all day.

And Secondly keeping a blog uptodate is quite a mission itself, if you didn't know, people do this as there full time jobs.

So there, thats all on that subject. Have a pleasant day all. :-)
