Which to do?

The world has recently been introduced to the wonderful world of online communities, well at least those of us who have access to the internet.

In recent months; sites such as Facebox, Facebook, Hi5, etc have come to prominence. Although most of them have been around for longer, it has only been recently that they have boomed.

Of course it all started with the mother of them all - MYSPACE.COM where you could have your own webpage for the price of an email address and the rest as they say is history.

Now I have been a member of many different virtual/online communities for a number of years now, mostly topic communities though, like Gaming, Development, Anime and comic comunities to name a few. But now my friends have found these sites and are now imploring me to join, which I don't really have a problem with, its just that its an effort to keep those sort of things up-to-date. I mean look at my blog, is there no better example!

Besides the whole idea of posting your picture on the internet is not that appealing to me, if you need any motivation look at my avatar, that clearly ain't me.

By the way has anybody noticed that I changed my avatar, I am now a Green Lantern. To see my previous avatar, refer to my earlier posts (way back...).
Back on topic... and then there is the even more difficult choice of which community to join, because everyone is never all on the same one - Why!? They all do the same thing. The least they could do is just join the one which the first guy did, but NO they don't even do that! Everybody wants to be there own person, stupid INDIVIDUALS.
Just wait till the big boys bring out there toys for real. Of course i'm talking about Microsoft, Yahoo and Google. Yes, they do have communities already, but most of them are still in beta phases, just give them a little bit more time. then you'll see.

Unappreciated

I'm doing pretty good hey, two posts in two days!

Unfortunately I don't really have anything interesting to say... really, not much has happened lately.

Actually, I was just reading through my mail now and I've seen that the Anime Society of which I'm a member doesn't have a projector because the unversity doesn't want to allow us to use their projector facilities.

That is so unfair I feel as all the members are students, we all pay the membership fees and we just want to use it for about an hour or two a week. They just being selfish!

Another thing I read about is that a anime convention was to be held in america last year and the anime website that was organising it enlisted the help of company to take care of setting up, accommodation and other logistical stuff regarding the arrabging of the convention.
It then turned out that when the convention date came around, all the participants were kicked out of the venue as nothing had been arranged.

The phoney company had left them in the lurch aswell as taking all the prize money (raised through donations from the websites visitors) and leaving most of the participants stranded with no accommodation or airplane tickets.

The bottomline is that lesser known cultures are brutally taken advantage of!

Its been awhile.

Well folks I know it has been awhile, but finally I'm back!

There has been a delay as I've been running around sorting out some other issues so I havent been able to update as frequently as I would like to. I also took a well deserved holiday from varsity and work.

So now I can finally start working on those forthcoming attractions I posted last time round. But there might be a few that I don't do as I honestly cannot remember what they are.

Oh and as a aside, I managed to spill a cup of hot chocolate all over myself this morning while sitting at the coffee place. No I have the sweet scent of freshly made hot chocolate drenched into my pants. Is that a good thing or bad thing? I don't know... drop a comment and let me know what you think.
